Eye of Judgment expansion on the way

PS3 News | 100 new cards to feature in new set.
One of the more interesting games to be released on the PlayStation 3 thus far has to be Eye of Judgment, the card game that, when played with the PSEye camera, translates the battle onto your TV. Half video game and half card game, it certainly is a niche product, but has developed something of a cult following.

Fans of the game will be happy to know that the first expansion of the game is due out in the near future in the form of a new card set called Biolith Rebellion 2. Where the original set that came with Eye of Judgment focused primarily on teaching players the rules of the game, the new set will allow players to make much tighter themed decks, along with cards that balance the more-powerful cards in the original set.

To play with the new cards, players need to purchase and download an expansion pack off of the PlayStation Network which will enable usage of the new cards, and then buy the physical booster packs and theme decks from stores. An online update will also be released with some graphical tweaks, an enhanced ranking system and also some 'Special matches' that will challenge some of the more advanced players.

The new Eye of Judgment set will be available for purchase on March 29th in the US. There is no current confirmation that the set will be released down under, but we have our fingers crossed and will let you know as soon as we do.

Is it just me, or is the starter deck/kit for this game just too high a price for entry?

I like CCGs, but I'm not sure if I like them more than $120, epically for a game that seems to feature little more in terms of detail and scope than your average PSN game.

i thought this was discontinued all together... some EB guy told me theres been a dispute between the sony(i think.. could be hasbro) and wizards of the coast and they weren't making eye of judgment anymore

how could he just lie to me like that?!?!?
