Konami sets the record straight

PS3 News | No Metal Gear 4 demo for PlayStation3.

With rumours swirling around the internet this week, Konami has hit back by officially denying the existence of a demo to one of the most anticipated games of the year.

Via his latest podcast - Ryan Payton, Assistant Producer at Kojima Productions has set the record straight about whether or not PlayStation 3 owners would be getting their hands on a demo for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.

He clarified details of the rumour, stating that the story broke due to misinformation in one online article and announced that Kojima Productions have no intention of releasing a demo prior to the game's release.

So unless you feel like digging out a bandana and getting into character, PS3 owners will have to be content with patiently waiting for Snake to arrive later this year.

Listening to the podcast they do rule out the idea that the demo is not coming out soon (feb) but there doesn't seem to be any strong denial of a demo at all in the future...

Would've been cool to have an early crack at it but if there is one game that didn't need a demo it's MGS4.

I hate not knowing, having all these leaks and rumours.
