At the Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany this weekend, Andy Mooney, the president of the Disney consumer products division, confirmed that Kingdom Hearts 2 is in development.
Mooney hinted that the game will be displayed for the first time at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show in September.

having never played the 1st game i dont know anything about it other then its a cross between square and disney games, but still this is good news for fans of the 1st game!
