SingStar '90s on the way?

PS2 News | I feel old.
It's not unusual for retailers to break game titles and release information before an official announcement, but what is rare is for a retailer to break screenshots and solid information about a game before an announcement.

Well, that's what GP Store New Zealand has done, posting up first information and screenshots for SingStar '90s, which looks set for release in August.

According to the website the full tracklist for the game is as follows:
  • Never Ever - All Saints

  • Love Shack - B-52's
  • One Week - Barenaked Ladies
  • Achy Breaky Heary - Billy Ray Cyrus
  • Horses - Daryl Braithwaite

  • Unskinny Bop - Poison
  • Creep - Radiohead
  • Everyone Hurts - R.E.M.

haha nice song list. I remember the majority of those songs. I'm sure this will be another big seller.

Baby Got Back and Can't Touch This were 90's songs? Wow, thought they were older than that.

^Was about to ask this question myselfy. Reguardless, any game with these two songs = win. A really great track list if this is real.

Another game my tonedeaf friends can give me nightmares with. joy.

Where the wild roses grow!!! What the! That's definitely not a song for kids, unless they edit it. It does come from an R rated album called Murder Ballads.

looks like another singstar game to add to the list, i was so skeptical when i bought my first one, but my trade-in qualified for the entire collection and I haven't looked back. Pure guilty pleasure!

lol awesome, they've really got a seller with that list i guess they are targeting all the young adults by getting their childhood songs in. I wonder what the threat letter from sony says to the poor retailers >.>

Creep on a Singstar is sacreligious. The Cure sells it for me though.

Hammer but no Vanilla? What's the world coming to?!

Best tracklist I've seen for a Singstar game so far I think nonetheless, not that I take a lot of notice (nor have I ever played the games.)

YAY! Spice Girls! I was into a lot of these songs when I was into pop music, so this'll be such a trip down memory lane for me. And it'll irriate my housemate too! Bwahaha!

Apart from "Ice, ice baby" (which is on the Singstar 80's) ... did he have any other major hits?

Interesting it would seem that Ice Ice Baby was released in 1990.

edit: How good/fun would Love Shack be?? icon_biggrin.gif

Who knows, who cares? Ice Ice Baby alone would be amazing. Actually, I know and care: his version of Play That Funky Music got pretty high on the US charts as well.

Ice Ice Baby on Singstar 80s is pretty good/fun ... shame they cut out some of the lyrics though, like the shooting part of.

edit: was also annoyed when they cut out the words drugs, coke and dope from "It's Tricky" also, esp when the lyrics are:
Quote
We are not thugs we don't use drugs but you assume on your own
They offer coke and lots of dope but we just leave it alone
meh ... stupid Sony censors

/back on topic

I am looking forward to this SIngstar instalment icon_smile.gif

So when is Singstar: European Power Metal (including gutter vocals, insanely high pitch vocals and 18minute songs) being released??

But yeah, I ain't buying no singstar. Don't throw houseparties myself.

Vanilla also did ninja rap for teenage mutant ninja turtles two the movie. but it was really bad, almost as bad as Hammer's Adams family groove for Adams family values.

Singstar:death metal would be hilarious, all the black/death metal hits including deicide, cannibal corpse, cradle of filth and carcass. i'd buy that for sure!

What about singstar country, punk or techno, you could yell all that hype stuff like in Ultrasonic's 1,2,3,4. EVERYBODY MAKE SOME NOIZE!

Singstar Country would sell truckloads ... probably get a few C&W fans to buy a console

By Truckloads, you mean the capacity of a Matchbox Car scaled Truck? Right?
