More games for PS2 Online

PS2 News | Sony to announce two more games intended for online play.
The as yet unnamed brace of games will be developed by 2nd parties Lodestone Games and SolWorks. Details on the games will be announced shortly.

John Smedly, president of Sony Online said the following: "We're working hand in hand with two very talented game production houses in order to expand the breadth and depth of SOE's impact on the online gaming market. Both Lodestone and SolWorks have great track records when it comes to game development. We have very high expectations for the products they are going to deliver and we are very excited to be working with them."

Lodestone was founded in 2001 by a team experienced in massively multiplayer games developed the hosting technology and real-time weather system found in PC MMOFPS, PlanetSide.

SolWorks meanwhile, has worked on the NHL FaceOff series of games. This indicates that PlanetSide for PS2 and an online sports game are likely to be announced in the near future, although nothing is certain yet.

PALGN will keep you posted.
