The latest installment of Tomb Raider is about to be released in PAL territories, but developers Core Design has already spoken of the follow-ups. Two more titles are currently planned with the first slated for release one year from now.
The same engine featured in Angel of Darkness will be used for the new titles, but the gameplay and storyline will see dramatic change. Core hinted that the game would be more faithful to the original PSOne and PC games: "We don't think we went traditional enough with this game. For the next one, we want to bring the dinosaurs back." Jeremy Heath-Smith, Core Design.
Even though more games, more frequently is favourable, with all the delay that Angel of Darkness suffered, quality may be sacrificed at the expense of quantity.
PALGN will bring you a review of Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness, in the near future.
