Buzz!: The Schools Quiz announced

PS2 News | Now invading schools.
Sony has sent through a press release confirming the development of Buzz! The Schools Quiz, which is specially designed for use in schools.

The game combines the buzz gameplay with the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum (which we assume is the school curriculum in the UK). The game features over 5,000 questions and will cover subjects from ancient Egypt to the weather.

David Amor, Creative Director and co-founder of Relentless said, "We're incredibly excited about this project. Using the buzzers and the quiz format means the game is instantly accessible – and works on the basis that kids learn more when they're having fun. Learning games like this will, we hope, give teachers an extra tool in the classroom."

The game will also feature 'Teacher Features' - designed in response to teacher feedback and evaluation to give control and flexibility when using the game as a teaching tool. You'll also be able to create your own quizzes based on one subject area.

The title will undergo trial in schools and, if successful, the title should be available to purchase for schools in the middle of the year. Australia has a different curriculum to the UK so if the title came out here then it would have to be edited. The game is set to be demonstrated at the BETT Show.

Wont surprise me if it comes out with an American curriculum, I mean they are the center of the world, just ask them

Does'nt seem to be a bad concept if its not overused, but I would have thought that it would have been better if developed for pc and Macs so the content could be edited to whatever the teacher wanted.
