The good news is that Canis Canem Edit (otherwise known as Bully in the States) will be available in stores on Friday 27th of October, 2006. And in more good news for those waiting for the game, Rockstar has sent us through another batch of images, as well as details on the importance of socialising in the game.
As with a lot of Rockstar games, socialising is an important aspect of Canis Canem Edit. The children (or teachers) in the schoolyard will make comments. These comments may be insults directed at you, or comments muttering to themselves. The comments won't remain the same however, and may be directly related to something you've just said or done, or something you're wearing. Staggeringly, every individual student and adult in the game has their own unique personality, and there are over 100 characters to meet.
If you just want to take a breather in the game then you can stop a while and listen to a group of NPCs. They won't be muttering about nothing, and will apparently actually have their own conversations which will go on for minutes, sometimes talking about things which relate to the game too.
Every character you encounter in the game can be spoken to. Whenever you approach another character, you will have the option of interacting with them in either a positive or a negative way. There is a large selection of possible interchanges, you can make deals, pull pranks like sticking a “kick me” sign on a student’s back or try to pinch a girl’s bum. If you're a ladies man, then you can flirt with the girls at Bullworth and maybe even go in for a kiss.
It seems that Canis Canem Edit is going to have a lot of hidden details. We'll have more information on the game, as well as our official verdict, very shortly.
