MGS3: Subsistence gets a PAL release window

PS2 News | Any closer?
Having been available since December of last year in Japan and March of this year in North America, a lot of PAL gamers have been getting weary of the fact that Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence has yet to see light of day outside of these regions. Now if Konami's latest release schedule is anything to go by, it seems that we have found a release window for one of the last rolls of the PS2 dice.

So what is the magical figure? October, and only for Europe so far. Whether this is good or bad, we'll leave to you to decide but in the very least, Subsistence is likely to have all of the extra bonuses that were included in the overseas releases. That is, the revamped camera, the eight player online multiplayer, extra backstory videos and the two original Metal Gear games that were released on the MSX. There has been no mention of an potential compensation fro making us wait this long.

We'll have more on PAL release of Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence as soon as it becomes available to us.

At first I was willing to pay full price for this, but after all the wait. I will not get this game unless it is 1/2 price.

I think its great that we have got a release date for it - but October. At least we finaly get legally translated versions of Metal Gear 1 and 2, plus the online mode and other little extra, but i won't be paying full price for it.

about freaking time.

i'd say something about not buying it at full price, but i'd only be kidding myself.

I've already got the 4 disc US limited edition version. icon_smile.gif

I'll probably also end up getting the PAL version as part of my collection. I had already finished the regular version but playing it with the new camera angle is much better IMO. It's almost like playing a new game but I haven't had the time to play it all the way through. The online part was decent but to be honest I haven't played it for over 2 months cause of BF2 MC.

finally some news. better late than never, eh?

I'm really only buying it for Metal Gear 1 & 2 so I would prefer if it wasn't full price. Also it would be nice if they could match/exceed the current MGS3: Tin Ed in packaging.

Looks like I'll be holding off on buying MGS3 for a while.
