E3 2006: Valkyrie Profile 2 images

PS2 News | Apparently the PS2 still exists and is quite popular...
We've managed to get some nice screens of upcoming PS2 game from Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria from Square and Tri-ace, and they're looking good. The first Valkyrie Profile game was released on the PS1 way back in 2000, so this sequel (actually, prequel) has been a long time coming, but hopefully it retains the great visual style and interesting story that made the original such a hit.

Valkyrie Profile 2 is set hundreds of years before the first game game, and stars Silmeria, who is a spirit that's overtaken the body of a princess - but unfortunately for Silmeria, the princess remained in the body and now the two are in co-habitational conflict! Very Japanese, to say the least.

Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria will be released next month in Japan, and elsewhere by the end of the year. Check the media panel for some promising screens!
