The proposed changes are, to be honest, a mixed bag - on the one hand, the press release for the game is eager to point out that EA is adding technologies that 'bring to life rich natural graphics such as snow that sparkles and blows in the wind and realistic character shadowing', as well as bunch of other things we couldn't give a flying tailgrab about.
Rather, it's the promise of a wide-open, go-anywhere mountain environment that intrigues PALGN most. When the surprisingly worthy Amped launched with the XBox just over a year ago, it became the first snowboarding game to offer the player an entirely open mountain to glide down. The freedoms this brought about were a refreshing blast after spending years of swerving between badly-drawn neon signs and wooden huts, so it's a welcome new feature in what is already one of the better snowboarding games out there.
The musical soundtrack features the usual nu-metal suspects: the X-Ecutioners, Felix Da Housecat and Queens of the Stone Age are all present and correct. All being well, expect a timely release this winter folks.
