Win Resident Evil 4 and a Chainsaw Controller

PS2 Competition | Here's your chance to win PALGN's GOTY of 2005.
PALGN has teamed up with QV Software and THQ to give our readers a chance to win a copy of the title our staff and readers both voted as Game of the Year for 2005, Resident Evil 4. And as the best way to play the game is using the Resident Evil Chainsaw Controller, we're also giving our readers a chance to one of those as well. We have an extra Chainsaw Controller which will go to one runner-up. Both the game and controllers are for the PlayStation 2.

So how can you win? Simple - all you have to do is become a member of our forums; doing this will allow you to enter all our future competitions, as well as receive competition updates via e-mail. If you are not a member then you can sign up here.

Then it's as simple as filling out the survey located below with your forum username, address and email address. After this you will be entered into our draw. The competition will close on the 28th February, and our two lucky winners will be drawn on the 1st March. It's really that straightforward.

We've included images of Resident Evil 4 and the Chainsaw Controller in our Media Panel. PALGN would like to extend it's thanks to both THQ and QV Software for supporting us with this promotion. Those who want to pick up the chainsaw controller can do so for $109.95 at selected retailers. It is limited edition though, so make sure you get it quickly before there are none left.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
This competition commences on 13th February 2006, and will conclude on 28th February 2006. PALGN will notify our forum winner via Private Message and/or via email. This competition is open to all members worldwide, although the game is a PAL copy. PALGN staff members and their immediate family are ineligible to win. PALGN is not responsible for lost or damaged mail and the prizes are not redeemable for cash. If you have any queries regarding the competition please contact luke@palgn.com.au. Only one entry per forum member allowed for the duration of the competition. PALGN reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of this competition at any time.

Yes.
That sucks and that's sad. Sorry, having a go at the avatar, James. Anyway, it's a bit of a letdown that the competition is not for both the Nintendo GameCube and the Playstation 2.

It would be impossible to source the controller for the Gamecube now.

Give away a Cube version? icon_sad.gif

We (generally) have no control over the products we are given for competitions.

I think it's important to note that if the sponsors continually see you guys being negative about the products we have to give away they're going to be less inclinded to give us stuff to give away. Even more importantly it costs PALGN time to set up the comps and money to send out the prizes. If it stops being positive for us, then there's no way we're going to keep on running them, and certianly not as member only competitions.

It's really disappointing, the publishers appeal to the largest demographic, hence them providing the Playstation 2 version.

It amazes me that despite this being a forum only competition (something you guys use to complain about previously), and the fact that it is free, you guys still complain.

Sell the PS2 game for the GameCube version, and keep the controller as a collectors item.

I think it's a great prize. Screw selling the game and keeping the controller as a collectable. I'm gonna rob the nearest servo.

oh noes, i already have the PS2 version, what am i going to do with a second one? /pout

no complaints from me. maybe complainers should be automatically disqualified icon_wink.gif
