Midway announces Rampage Revival

PS2 News | George, Lizzie and Ralph are back and are ready to unleash the mayhem.
Midway has today announced the revival of their classic arcade series Rampage, with the development of Rampage: Total Destruction. This latest installment, like the original, will allow gamers to unleash mayhem onto the unexpected metropolises with the likes of the King Kong like George, Lizzie the lizard, or the werewolf Ralph. In addition, there will be a number of other destructible monsters to unlock and play as.

Just like the original, Rampage: Total Destruction allows gamers to destroy virtually anything in the environment, even the kitchen sink. Players can destroy cities all over the world by themselves or either with another player in this recreation of the Midway classic.

Rampage: Total Destruction is being developed for the GameCube and PlayStation 2, and will be available in Q1 2006 with a budget price tag. Be sure to check out the gang in action via the first screenshots available in the Media Panel.

I had to blink and look again - but yes, it does say PS2 and Gamecube. Havn't seen that from a western developer for, like, 2 years.

Maybe this is becasue the Xbox is being discontinued for the 360?

I remember those games on the N64. Good fun with a few mates.
