EA Giving You The Chance To Play on Burnout: Revenge Soundtrack.

PS2 News | Time to blow the dust off that keyboard.
Electronic Arts has joined forces with Gibson Guitar and Hard Rock International in announcing a European-wide music competition for a place on a upcoming videogame soundtrack. The Burnout Bandslam!, as the event will be called, will allow unsigned artist from across Europe to participate in the chance of having one of their songs featured on the final soundtrack for Burnout: Revenge and becoming the proud new owner of the ultimate guitar package from musical gurus Gibson Guitar.

"We are excited for the bands who will sign up to be part of this fantastic opportunity", says Jan Bolz, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing EA Europe. "The Burnout franchise lends itself perfectly to this kind of involvement from European music bands – entertaining, racy and edgy. The winner will help us bring breakthrough music to a worldwide audience."

To enter this once in a lifetime event, unsigned bands can simply upload any of their original songs onto the official Burnout Bandslam website. A panel of independent judges will then choose four bands per a country to compete at the national finals at Hard Rock Cafés in Barcelona, Berlin, Paris and Manchester (UK) throughout September.

The four regional finalist will then join the European final at the Hard Rock Café in Barcelona on 5th October where they will have the chance to play live in front of famous A&Rs from the European music scene. The winner of the overall competition will then finally be able to professionally record their track for the upcoming Burnout game.

Burnout: Revenge will hit retail shelves across PAL countries in September for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox.

I prefer japanese guitars! Gibson's have good tone (or most do) but fat necks!

Still, could sell them on ebay.....I wish it were in Australia.
