Next Tomb Raider and Hitman games slip to early 2006

PS2 News | Lara hit by further delays.
A spokesman for SCi-Eidos has confirmed that two of the company's biggest forthcoming titles, Tomb Raider: Legend (due on PlayStation 2, Xbox and PC) and Hitman: Blood Money (PlayStation 2 only), are being delayed in an attempt to 'maximise their hit potential'. Or in other words, avoid the Christmas rush.

Speaking in the industry trade paper MCV, the representative for the publisher refused to specify an exact release date for either title, though admitted that 'early 2006' is the new target for now. Nevertheless both games are showing some promise, particularly Tomb Raider: Legend, which has a hint of Prince of Persia about it from what PALGN can see.

Some spangly screenshots of Legend are to the right, and we'll deliver more news on both titles as we get it.
