E3 2005: Digimon World 4 Info and Screenshots

PS2 News | Time to raise some new pets.

Digimon was a hugely popular franchise back in the day. This was mainly due to there Tamogotchi- like electronics. The objective was to take care of your pet as good as posible and then it would 'digivolve' into a stronger or weaker monster. Now several years on, Digimon is trying to regain fans with Digimon World 4.

The story line has now been confirmed, the access to the real world has been terminated and a sinister new world has been discovered. It is up to the Digital Security Guard to find out who or what is causing these curious events. You then get to play as your favorite Digimon and battle your way across the servers of the Digimon World.

These are the key features that have been announced:

Customize your Digimon – collect weapons, armor and items to customize your Digimon's skills and attributes.

Simultaneous play for up to 4 players at a time

Featuring 16 Digimon to play as

Featuring game-original Digimon

Collect virtual key chains and trading cards

The game is coming out on PS2, Gamecube and X-Box and is expected to be released in the US on May 31st 2005, with no PAL release date as yet. Be sure to check out some of the first screenshots in the media panel.
