The Sims 2 coming to your console

PS2 News | We all knew it was coming.
Not content with PC versions The Sims 2 and family selling through the roof, EA have announced that console versions are on their way for the PS2, Xbox, GameCube, Nintendo DS, PSP, Game Boy Advance, various phones and the Atari 2600.

Well, probably not that last one.

"Fans have been asking for The Sims 2 on console since it launched on the PC in September last year. We are thrilled to finally be able to bring it to them," commented Sinjin Bain, Executive Producer EA/Maxis. "The Sims 2 will be everywhere this Autumn [northern hemisphere], giving players on consoles and handhelds all new ways to take control of their Sims and tell all new stories."

Expect the games to attack retail stores like the Flood later this year.

Code:
Game videoGame;
...
if(videoGame.getPublisher().compareTo("EA")==0) {
  System.out.println("I'm not buying "+videoGame.getTitle()+"! :P");
  if(videoGame.getTitle().compareTo("Burnout 3")==0)
    throw new HypocrisyException;
}

I'm not into The Sims, so I won't be picking this up anyway. icon_kero.gif

I'll drink to it, but I'll just be labeled a hypocrite when I purchase Will Wright's new game, Spore, with its big ol' EA stamp of "We Own His Soul."

At any rate Burnout is an exception because it is good. Anything that is good that comes out of the black hole that is EA, is exempted by any cries of "But it's EA!!!"

as much as i dislike EA's (lack of) ethics, i like quite a few of their games...

this doesn't count EA Sport, EA Big or EA Sims divisions... they can burn...
