ICO Sequel To Hit Europe

PS2 News | SCEE confirms European release - but with a new name.
Sony Europe confirmed late yesterday that the Japanese developed follow-up to the critically acclaimed ICO is progressing well into development, and will be heading to Europe and the PS2 in the third quarter of 2005. Previously known as Wanda and the Colossus (as well as Nico or ICO2), Shadow of the Colossus will now be the European launch name, according to reports from Sony’s statement yesterday.

Shadow of the Colossus places the player in the role of a young hero on horseback who seeks to resurrect a young girl who's lost her soul. To achieve this, the player is given the task of defeating a series of giant beasts that stalk the desolate lands where the game is set. If ICO was anything to go by, Shadow of the Colossus should certainly become yet another cult favourite amongst PS2 fans.

We’ll have more information on Shadow of the Colossus as soon as it becomes available.

while i would like you to, i am limited in options on how to pay for it (basically cash or EFTPOS) so sadly i'll have to say no for now... otherwise i'd have gone to eBay or similar years ago...

no i'm resigned to trawling EB second hand shelves, Cash Converters, Trading Posts and the like...

If you can hide cash within a pretend 'letter' addressed to me, then you can pay for the game ObsoletE. icon_razz.gif

It is up to you mate, I'll help you find it if you want me to, if not then have fun trawling EB. icon_razz.gif

ICO is a actually a game based off of a Japanese novel.

(Of which I actually saw in the school library while I was in Japan).

Suffice to say , the cover art of the book matches the game ;/
