There's a small silver lining to this particular cloud however, with the sacrifice of online play meaning the game is set to make it's December release date. Thus, Japanese gamers will be seeing Gran Turismo 4 on 3rd December, whilst the US and Europe won't be far behind, receiving the title on 14th and 17th December respectively. No date for other PAL regions has been set, though December is almost a certainty.

And when online play does become a reality next year with the newly announced online version, PALGN expects the game to be released at a budget price, much like this year's Gran Turismo Concept.
