Pushing the PS2 as far as the machine will go. Fantastic.
Sony are claiming that the story will be entirely epic, spanning a massive thirty different missions. In the missions, expect to participate in pursuits, bombing runs, and, of course, dogfights. Medals will also be awarded depending on just how exactly mad your skills are during missions.
Well, you'd think that'd be part of the storyline component of the game.
Fans of combat jets will be in heaven, as the game is set to feature over fifty different, fully licensed, real life combat jets to take to the skies with.
As you can see from the screens included, the game looks absolutely fantastic. The detail on the planes is exceptional (as you would expect, seeing as there isn't a whole lot of environment detail required), and even the characters look rather good. While the ground could have a little more detail, it's hardly something you notice in the heat of battle.
Crop circles! AHH!
Ace Combat 5 is shaping up rather nicely. The game is scheduled to arrive in PAL land in the first quarter of next year. PALGN will have more as it breaks.
