Gran Turismo 4 is now being aimed for a November release meaning it should be released in Australia before christmas.
Gran Turismo 4 will feature more than 5,000 polygons per vehicle capturing unprecedented detail right down to the disk brakes behind the wheel. A totally rebuilt physics engine will allow for a higher level of realism in cars, which allows for cars to be handled easier.
Gran Turismo 4 will feature up to 100 tracks including the Grand Canyon, Nurburgring, Fuji Speedway, Hong Kong and New York City. Up to 500 cars will be featured. Ranging from vintage models to modern cars seen around today.
New information was also released about new game modes added to Gran Turismo 4. A new mode titled GT Photo Mode will allow players to travel around the globe with their cars and conduct photo sessions in various popular locations that include Piazza San Marco and Sagano. Players can save the photos to memory card or print them with an attached colour USB printer.
GT Online Mode will allow up to 6 players to race head-to-head. Online mode includes chat functionality and an in-depth menu screen which allows for gamers to build online communities.
