Use your Eyetoy as a webcam

PS2 News | Now it's the best $100 webcam out there.
After the Eyetoy was released in July last year, it was expected that, within a few months, drivers would be created to get it to operate as a webcam. A 'few' (ahem) months later, the drivers have been created and we have the information on how to find them.

A brief comparsion with a Logitech Quickcam Xpress and the Playstation 2 Eyetoy shows that the Eyetoy's quality is actually better.

To test it out for yourself you can obtain the drivers from either two of these links:

I doubt they're going to come to linux anytime soon if at all. Even if it would work under linux, I probably wouldn't ever use it. But it's been a lot longer than I expected after release before the drivers came around.

I'm afraid my eyetoy isn't moving from it's current location. Yet.
