Call of Duty: Modern Warfare PC demo coming later this week

PC News | Experience some modern warfare on your PC!
According to PlanetCOD Yahoo Games revealed that PC gamers will get a chance to try out the single player demo for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare this Thursday. Specific details about the demo were also released:

"Set in a bombed-out Middle-Eastern city, the 'Bog Rescue' drops you into a nighttime conflict-in-progress. Your primary task is to locate and secure a friendly Abrams M1A2 tank, although first you have to get to the damned thing by navigating through an absolutely chaotic firefight."

PC gamers who were a little disgruntled at not being included in the COD4 beta that was held on the Xbox 360 last month will now have some exclusive COD4 gameplay of their own to enjoy until the game is eventually released in November. Give the demo a download on October 11th to try out the new campaign for the first time.

Brilliant, having played the 360 Beta, this should help me know whether I've made the right decision in choosing to go with the PC version, or if I should get the 360 limited edition instead for all the extras and the Achievements.

The 360 limited edition defecates all over the PC one, but I've always been a CoD/CoD2 fan with the trusty keyboard/mouse - so this will get a definate download.

I noticed killcam is still in - happy times.

Wonder if the 360 will be getting a demo anytime soon?

I'll probably give this a go on the PC even though if I do buy it it'll be the 360 version.

^ the 360 already got a demo, about a month ago i think, from reading some articles, i think. dont quote me on that tho icon_razz.gif

That would be the beta you're talking about, which ran for a couple of months.

Awesome, can a Radeon 9550 play it at all?

Doubt it. I would expect Pixel Shader 3.0 would be a minimum requirement nowadays.

You'd be hard pressed to get Call of Duty 2 to run well on a 9550, to be brutally honest. But hey, that's what consoles are for, right?
