Football Manager 2008 announced

PC News | Not exactly unpredictable.
Sega has announced that Football Manager 2008 is currently in development for the PC and Max and will be available in stores by Christmas. The latest title will be fully updated for the new season and will once again allow players to select their favourite teams and guide them too success. In total there will be over 5,000 playable teams from over 50 countries.

“With Football Manager 2008 we’re once again raising the bar in the sports management genre.” commented Miles Jacobson, Studio Director of Sports Interactive. “With dozens of new small features and larger things like a complete revamp of international management and the new match flow system, we’re really looking forward to seeing the reaction from people when they get to play it on release.”

There are quite a few changes to the game. Apparently the match flow for the game has been tweaked so you can make tactical changes without pausing the game. The international management gameplay has been completely changed, international retirements, player interaction and international scouting has been improved. You'll also be able to tell immediately what the board and supporters think about the team's performance through the new confidence section. The transfer centre has been revamped and it should now be easier to manage transfer and loan bids for a player's club.

Seems like they're done quite a bit then, first images for Football Manager 2008 can be found in our media panel.

those screens look sexy.

they need to tweak the fact you can manage club and country at the same time. Perhaps higher rep clubs will demand you quit your international position or else.

also if your club and country play on the same day you can manage both which is kinda silly.
