    • Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War Gold Edition

Steam keeps on getting more developers on board, such a shame you always need to be logged into steam to use it.

^that was one of the things i disliked from the beginning was having to constantly be logged in. once you obtain a game it should be avaliable to you for play whenever you wish online or offline.

there are a few games that can be run outside of steam, but i agree, having to be logged in is annoying at times.

also a shame that the xpacs they've got require the steam versions of the original games. i've already got Titan Quest, and don't really want to purchase it again in order to get Immortal Throne so cheap.

Mmm.. yes Steam is flawed, but definitely starting to pick up lots of publishers. I'd still buy a packaged version of a game over the Steam ones any day, some of their rules about your account is just ridiculous, one mistake and you could lose all the games in it.

What are you ppl on about? Steam doesn't need to be online to play the games. I play half of my steam games offline exclusively, you only need to sign in to download/activate the games after which you should be able to play them in offline mode.

^ we aren't saying offline, we're saying signed in at all.

i'd prefer to be able to just click the executable and play, rather than having to go through steam, then click the link in that.

i do have a few steam games that permit this, but most of them don't.

Cool Titan Quest I've been after that for some time. One thing I like about Steam is the games seem to get modified to run seamlessly with new operating system updates.

When I use to play the original Half-Life on XP it was quite problematic. But once I got the Steam downloaded version by registering my cd keys it was perfect. The only thing that bums me about Steam really is you can't resell your games.
