World in Conflict Collector's Edition coming to Australia

PC News | Buy Collector’s Edition; get an authentic piece of the Berlin Wall!
Sierra Entertainment has today confirmed to PALGN that Australia will also be receiving a Collector’s Edition version of the upcoming action-strategy PC game, World in Conflict, which was confirmed for other regions late last week.

The Collector’s Edition will include an array of goodies for the hardcore fans amongst you, including a bonus DVD entitled “Modern Marvels: The Berlin Wall,” behind the scenes videos, a special limited edition packaging featuring Soviet and American flags, and probably the most unusual item being: an authentic piece taken from the Berlin Wall. Additional pre-order bonuses will also be available for the Collector’s Edition and Standard Edition versions of the game at selected retailers across Australia.

World in Conflict will be available in September 2007.

A piece of the Berlin wall? Weird. How many pieces are they expecting to give out?

I played a bit of this at GO3, seemed okay.

Wait, so if we buy all of these editions, we can rebuild part of the wall? icon_razz.gif

Loved the Beta, and will be picking it up for sure.

Its like an RTS crossed with Battlefield style games, in that combat is fast, you command only a small number of units and there is a heavy emphasis on working with other players as a team, not to mention the beautiful graphics.

Seen a few gameplay videos of the game and heard positive impressions from friends so was definitely interested in the game, but it is kooky that the collector's edition does have a piece of the Berlin wall.

This game looks hot, but im hopeless at strategy games so I'll wait until its cheap.

Piece of the wall. Ah yea, they actually sell chunks of the Wall at Berlin (for quite a lot of cash actually).

I'd like to know how much this spec edition will cost.

we have several pieces of the wall already.

the first we got from the time it came down in 1989, and it's about the size of a house-brick, and cost nothing.
the second was bought for about $5 in 1992 and is about the size of current mobile phone.
the last piece we got was bought it 1999 for about $20 and is about the size of a 10c piece.

all these pieces though are exterior pieces, with the paint from graffiti still on it, so they cost more.

Awesome I've been hanging for this cold war game for ages. A piece of the wall has immense appeal to me as a history student icon_razz.gif
