Blizzard dates WoW expansion

PC News | /cheer!
Blizzard has today confirmed that the official release date for The Burning Crusade will be 16th January 2007 for the US and Europe. The expansion will be available in Australia on the same date. The expansion will also be available in New Zealand, and Singapore “in a similar time frame”, while availability for China and the regions of Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau will be announced further down the line.

A few weeks ago, Blizzard announced a short delay for its highly anticipated expansion to World of Warcraft. The delay, which was apparently used to extend the closed beta and iron out a few bugs, saw the title shift from its original Holiday release to January 2007.

We can only hope that “a similar time frame” isn’t too far off as we eagerly await leveling our toons to level 70 and exploring Outland on our spiffy new mounts.

Well at least school will start by then, so... don't have to save from Christmas. icon_smile.gif Not exactly excited, never have been with MMORPG expansions; they're too much of a necessity really.
