Star Wars Galaxies 14 day trial up for grabs

PC News | May the force be with you.
LucasArts is offering a free 14 day enhanced trial for Star Wars Galaxies. Why is the trial enhanced you may ask? It's because you also get to try out the expansion packs An Empire Divided and Jump to Lightspeed.

Once the 14 days have finished you can continue to play the game with the character you've created during your trial which is rather pleasing. If you continue to keep playing (and thus paying) for the MMO after 14 days then you'll recieve the Rage of the Wookies expansion pack for free, as well as a bonus in game item.

In November LucasArts will be releasing Star Wars Galaxies: The Complete Online Adventures which includes all the expansion packs from the game as well as a behind the scenes DVD. For more information head over to the official Star Wars Galaxies website which can be found here.

If it weren't for the complete overhaul which made the game crappier then it already was, I would have been playing this ages ago. Is a shame too, I want to have no life & play an MMO, & is way too late to start WOW now, even if it is only $27 @ JB Hi-5.

this was the MMO that originally got me interested in the genre, but i never got it because it was never officially released in Australia (and until November, still hasn't been) and i had no way to pay for it at the time it was released in the US (no credit card, and Australia didn't get gamecards).

i did play it a bit on a mates account, and enjoyed what i saw of it, but this was way back, before the overhaul La mentions.

if you are interested in getting into an MMO, there are a couple around the corner that look promising. the Warhammer one firstly, and the Conan one also.
