Burning Crusade Collector's Edition details

PC News | Hunk of burning extras.
More WoW goodness, as millions of players around the world are slobbering all over their keyboards in anticipation for the Burning Crusade. The expansion to the biggest MMORPG ever made is getting even bigger - a nice collector's edition is available for the most die-hard WoWers.

Much like the original game, the Burning Crusade is also being released as a collector's edition with a hearty swag of extra gear. Included (along with both the CD and DVD copies of the game):

  • Bonus features DVD - featuring a behind-the-scenes documentary on the making of the game
  • The Art of World of Warcraft The Burning Crusade book
  • Mousepad featuring a map of the new continent, Outland
  • Official soundtrack
  • Two World of Warcraft Trading Card Game starter packs
  • Exclusive in-game pet, henceforth known as a "Netherwhelp"
It's all very exciting, and although original Collector's Edition World of Warcraft copies are hard to come by, the current success of WoW should hopefully ensure a number of these babies will be hitting the shelves. Of course the "super-deluxe price" is speculation; as yet no word on the official price. The regular edition can be pre-ordered now for $59.99, and the sky is the limit for the Collector's Edition. Irrelevant really - Blizzard will sell them all. Stick around for more Burning Crusade tidbits, the game is set for release before the end of the year. For now, check out the stellar box art below.

I'm surprised it doesn't come with a starter pack of adult diapers so that the xHARDxCOREx players don't need to leave the PC.
Or perhaps a loan application form for people worried they might not be able to continue paying for the game, month after month after month after... icon_razz.gif

haha, i might like the game, but i'm perfectly aware that there are idiots who take it all too seriously.

anyway, it should be noted that as yet, Australia hasn't been listed on the countries getting the collectors edition, and while i don't honestly think that likely for us not to get it, it is still a possibility.

Yeah I asked the EB guys the computer said "No" (little bit of Little Britain humour).

I have friends in the US who are getting it (or believe they are) and I could get them to order me one. But hey having my own Netherwhelp isn't really that exciting.

Another trading card game I ccn do without.

I haven't even pre-order Burning Crusade yet. Hope there are heaps of copies on the shelves.
