E3 2006: Warhammer: Mark of Chaos screens emerge

PC News | Just what the Chaos gods ordered.
It has been quite some time since Warhammer fans have come to experience a video game to meet their expectations of the stunning tabletop franchise. However, with the introduction of Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War, it seems as though developers are finally realising the potential within such a captivating franchise. Namco are willing to inject some much-needed love to the fans in the form of Warhammer: Mark of Chaos, the upcoming RTS title based off the Warhammer license.

Developed by Black Hole Entertainment, the game is shaping-up exceptionally well and is looking to fill the holes that were left from previous Warhammer attempts. The game, an RTS styled game, seems to pull a lot of inspiration from a number of titles such as Rome: Total War and even a touch of Shadow of the Horned Rat for old times sake.

Namco’s revival of the classic tabletop series is shaping quite nicely as seen from the latest footage shown at the E3 expo – one can only hope that it continues this way.
