Shenmue Online faces uncertain future

PC News | Yu Suzuki's perennially troubled franchise faces up to new obstacle.
The future of Sega MMORPG Shenmue Online is looking decidedly shaky this morning, with the news that the game has seen it's development switched from Korean developer JC Entertainment to Sega Shanghai Studios. And just to add further furrows to our collective brows, it's emerged that the game hasn't been worked on since May. Urk.

We're told to expect an official announcement next week from Sega, so until then we're in the dark over whether or not Shenmue Online will ever see the light of day.
