The Weekend Steam - 04/12/11

PC News | Making a list and checking it twice...
The pickings are pretty slim in the lead up to Christmas, but the Steam store still has a few good deals to check out. Currently there are new daily deals popping up on the storefront as part of the Daily Wishlist Giveaway, so keep your eyes peeled for a great pre-Christmas bargain.

Today's daily deal focuses on the trigger-happy mercenaries of Boderlands, with the original game and DLC all available at 75% off their regular price, including a neat four pack deal allowing you to spread the love amongst those friends of yours that haven't picked up a copy of the game.

The PALGN team are of the opinion that "Borderlands shows just how compelling a mix of shooting and looting can be. And it can be even better with friends." You can find our full opinion of the game in our review here.

7 dollars for brink a game released 7 months ago... Valve are very clever in their pricing for rubbish games, it almost looks tempting. Anyone with friends should buy borderlands awesome co-op unless your all playing Serious Sam 3 like me icon_razz.gif

Pretty sure Valve don't decide the prices on games that aren't their own.

That said, I got Brink for $20 and don't mind the game so it's worth checking out for $7 if you are a gamer who can enjoy the not so great games as long as they are had cheap.

There's negotiations with third parties as well, but valve would have the research to back that up, the only way to sell this game for max profit is at 7 dollars as a special. Valve would be leading.

I got Brink in a bundle pack a while back, I really don't like it (style or gameplay).

I've had brink since pre-order on steam. I've spend probably a total of 1 hour playing it :/
