Portal 2 DLC on the way

PC News | You'll never escape.
One of this year's biggest titles is looking to get even bigger, with Valve promising that downloadable content for Portal 2 is on the way.

Speaking in a interview with Fast Company, Valve's Vice President of marketing, Doug Lombardi, stated that "We will be announcing some DLC for it, so folks can keep a look out for more content coming this summer. We'll be putting more details out about that in a week or so. We'll support that with more videos or more comics".

Specifics as to what platforms the DLC would be available on will have to come later. However, we at PALGN assume that with Steamworks integrated into the PlayStation 3, Sony gamers are bound to get all the content that PC gamers will be enjoying. Those playing on Xbox 360? We're not sure. Valve has expressed interest in bringing DLC to the platform, but with Team Fortress 2 on the platform missing all the updates available on PC, it's hard to say whether or not Portal 2 will share the same fate.

Now, Portal 2 DLC for single player or co-op? Let us know what you'd like in our comments.

And it'll probably be free on Steam, so this is great news. Any new Portal is great, I just need to get it working now :\

Valve may go the paid DLC route for PC... They've been putting in some effort on supporting it in Steam.

DLC for both co-op and single player please!

You can't mess with the single player story with DLC, so unless it's some kind of random spin-off thing like Bioshock 2's single player DLC, then I think it'll be co-op DLC. I look forward to seeing what they do with this! icon_smile.gif
