The Weekend Steam - 22/1/11

PC News | In space, no one can hear you scream.
Only the dead survive this weekend, with the Weekend Steam Deal celebrating the upcoming release of Dead Space 2 by selling the original Dead Space at 66% off its regular price. If you happen to pre-purchase Dead Space 2 off the Steam platform, the discount for Dead Space is even greater, with savings of 75% off the title.

Dead Space proved to be a chilling title set around the premise of a deep-space mining ship losing power after unearthing a strange artifact on a distant planet. Engineer Isaac Clarke takes on the challenge to restore power and get the ship back in order, instead he encounters a nightmarish scenario — finding that the ship's crew has been massacred. Now Isaac's repair mission turns to one of survival as he tries to uncover the mystery and escape the ship.

While we may have hidden under our blankies for a while, the PALGN crew had an awesome time with Dead Space when we reviewed the title back in 2009 and we recommend another play through before Dead Space 2 arrives next week.
