Mass Effect 2 PlayStation 3 release dated

PC News | A galaxy not so far away.

PlayStation 3 gamers eager to take their star-ship for a few spins around the galaxy won't have to wait long to get their mitts on this generation's biggest sci-fi epic, with IGN confirming that Mass Effect 2 for the PlayStation 3 will be launching on January 18, 2011 in the United States, and January 21, 2011 in Europe.

As we previously reported, Mass Effect 2 for the PlayStation 3 will be the core experience PC and Xbox 360 games have enjoyed, along with some extra bang for your buck, most specifically the inclusion of all major mission based DLC packs, as well as a temporarily exclusive interactive comic that will retell the events of Mass Effect.

The specific release date for Australia is yet to be announced, though is likely to fall around the same time as the European release.

I can't really justify it, but I'll probably end up re-buying this on PS3, if only to relive the experience and get Trophies etc.

Awesome news! I never bought the DLC on xbox live so having it all on one disc is worthy of replaying it all over. It has quietly become one of my favorite franchises this generation.

pretty sure he didnt mean the 2 and 3 switched just that he thought mass 3 would be out. Do not know if I would want 3 to come out in january lol
