Mass Effect 2 DLC still in the works

PC News | An infinite universe.
If you were one of the many drooling Mass Effect 2 fans concerned about BioWare's silence on DLC ever since the launch of their well received mission pack Lair of the Shadow Broker, or worried due to the unexpected the hiatus of the usual once-per-month DLC releases, then rest easy as we have good news.

Speaking with Eurogamer in a recent interview, BioWare founders Greg Zeschuk and Ray Muzyka were quizzed on the downloadable content situation for the epic space opera. Quelling concerns that the adventure was done and dusted, Zeschulk stated that 'We're not done yet. We're still ongoing', committing further with 'We have a pretty long DLC plan for Mass. We're still doing lots of stuff there.'

Unfortunately the two would not elaborate on the future of Mass Effect, particularly when the third and final chapter in the Commander Shepard trilogy would finally see a formal announcement, instead choosing to focus the near future on promoting the upcoming PlayStation 3 build.

I'm hoping we keep getting DLC up till ME3 hits.

The DLC has been pretty great so far and is steadily getting better with each release so I can't wait to see what's next.

I think I remember Bioware saying before Lair of the Shadow Broker's release that it was the first piece of 'bridging' DLC between ME2 and ME3, so presumably there would be a bit more to come yet.

Hopefully it is as good as Shadowbroker and Overlord.

More?! For some reason I assumed it was the last DLC so after I finished I deleted my ME2 disc installs. D'oh!

Hanging out for 'Blasto the Hanar spectre' DLC.

Of course they're going to release more; with all the previous DLC being included with the PS3 version, they're going to want to make even more money by releasing further content, only this time on both platforms instead of just XBLA.

I hope any future DLC is as good as Lair of the Shadow Broker, that was simply awesome. I didn't care for Overlord. Kasumi was good but way too short and she doesn't feel like a fully fleshed out team member.

"Zeschulk stated that" - should be Zeschuk.

Hopefully the DLC will continue to be as good as the most recent.
