Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition announced

PC News | Ultimate combo.
It took a little over a month but this is one reported rumour that has come to fruition; BioWare has announced an upcoming package titled Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition.

What makes this package so 'ultimate'? We're guessing its because it contains practically all Dragon Age: Origins related content currently available. This includes;

  • Dragon Age: Origins - The original award winning role-playing game.
  • Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening - A lengthy expansion pack with its own new adventure.
  • Seven Content Packs - All of the mission based downloadable content for Dragon Age: Origins.

How much for such a beefy package, we hear you ask? According to GameStop in the United States, the complete package will cost US$50 for the PC edition, and US$60 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 editions. Not bad, considering the total value of all the content comes in at around US$114.

Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition is expected to ship sometime later this month. We'll have details on the Australian release pricing and dates as soon as their available.

hmm, I haven't got any of the DLC for Dragon age yet, depending on the price here I might grab this instead.

Totally worth it (the PC version that is) at that price. The DLC contents, not so much, but Origins + Awakening is a beautiful combo.

I held off buying all the DLC and the expansion because I knew something like this would happen. I wonder if my Collector's edition items will play nice with the Ultimate Edition though.

Bet the same thing happens to ME2.

Have to admit though that I might be hard pressed to buy this with GT5 being released on Nov 2nd and then the new hi-def version of Good and Evil coming really soon too...

BG&E should be comparatively cheap, given it's on XBLA and PSN and not a disc.

Dang it, I'm only missing a few pieces of DLC. Oh well, I'll just hold off and pick this up cheap a few months after release.

I was hoping something like this would happen, I didn't get the original cause my bro got it on ps3, and as luck would have it, he moved out not 3 days ago icon_biggrin.gif perfect time for me to get this.

True but there is a time thing as well.. and DA:O is a big time suck.

GT5 will be the first racing game I've had on the PS3.. and the first console racing game I've played since Midnight Club DUB Remix on PS2.. so am guessing I will be playing that for a considerable amount of my limited time when I first get it..
