Valve dates Portal 2

PC News | Suuure...
Valve left scientists sobbing earlier this year after delaying anticipated title Portal 2 into the next, but it turns out it wont be too long of a wait, with the developer confirming to Game Informer that Portal 2 is locked in for a release on 9 February 2011.

This is, of course, assuming that Valve Time doesn't strike in full force, which could see the title launch in around, oh I dont know, 40 years? Fingers crossed that February 9th is on the money.

Accompanying this announcement was a little insight into the voice actors of Portal 2. Those who have been keeping up with media so far will know of a little robot named Wheatley. Temporarily voiced by a Valve staff member for their E3 2010 preview, it is now known that British comedian, writer, and actor Stephen Merchant will speaking for the charmingly befuddled sphere. To many, Stephen Merchant will be best known as the writer of the UK and US editions of The Office.

Aww I thought they were going to be keeping his voice? He did a good job for an amateur.

That is so cute! I always knew they'd make a great couple.

And if Stephen Merchant is in the game, is there a possibility that we'll get one Mr. K Dilkington as well?
