Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition?

PC Rumour | Swansong before the sequel.
If you're one of the few who are still tossing up whether or not to buy Dragon Age Origins, then pay attention, as Joystiq has revealed a curious title listing popping up at GameStop over in the United States, titled 'Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition'.

Wondering what could be in such a package? Well, so are we. Sadly there is no extra information attached to the listing, other than a release date of October 12 for PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.

If we were to speculate, this Ultimate Edition may be a means of packaging all of the available Dragon Age: Origins downloadable content into one standalone retail product. Some of the DLC packaged could be Leliana's Song, Return to Ostagar, and the newly released Golems of Amgarrak, and maybe even the expansion pack Awakenings.

With a release date so close, we'll no doubt hear more from EA and BioWare soon.

I would probably get that, if only to finish of getting all the achievements for Origins. I ended up trading it in because I knew I would end up purchasing all the DLC and figured something like this would arrive.

Even though I already own the original game, I haven't got the DLC for it. So I'll probably get this in order to save a lot of money.

Yup.. I'd buy this, depending on the price and if they release it at a time that falls in between other releases.

so getting if it happens. much better value than buying the dlc seperately (also part of the reason i never bought any of it, was hoping they'd do a package thing like fallout 3).

Yet another example why it's best to wait for the 'collectors' or 'complete' edition of these type of games (i.e. ones that are milked for DLC).

fortunately i was given the code for the stone warrior one so i didn't mind paying for the ostagar one in the end. The 1200 for that stone warrior one is complete crap.

if it has the expansion and all the DLC I'll grab this on the xbox

that's the whole reason why it's 1200 points. same as the cerberus dlc in mass effect 2, it was an attempt to get everyone to buy the game new.

Dragon Age Origins for me was bordering on the addictive.

Couldn't put it down. Could get enough. What an epic and memorable experience. Only didn't get DLC as I couldn't afford it.

Main story may not be the best, but the dialogue, characters and areas were brilliant.

Alistair, Morrigan and Dog were cool characters. And Daylen the Grey Warden my main like him.

Even if this is priced at full price still a great bargain for those who never played the game. Not so sure for those like me who bought the game and sold their copies already if its worth buying again for the extras.

What? He wasn't even a charecter he was just a dog?

It can be levelled up, interacted and be in the party just like a normal Party character (a recruitable character). I love Dog because he/she doesn't get affected by the decision the character make as he/she unconditionally loves his/her owner.

Speak to Dog at camp, its really funny icon_biggrin.gif . I love it, so intelligent and cute icon_biggrin.gif

doesn't he have like three interactions and that's it?

I more meant he's not a charecter in the story telling sense. He has no personality, no story impact, he's just another body.
