Mafia II Demo is on the way

PC News | And very soon too.

Fence sitters and fans alike will likely be delighted to hear that 2k games anticipated gangster sequel, Mafia II will have a playable demo available for all three platforms prior to release.

Mark August 10 on your calenders, as that's when players can get some solid amounts of hands-on time with the demo.

The Mafia II demo will give players the pleasure of playing through one of the games earlier levels named "Buzzsaw", where your mission is to take out a large bundle of trouble aptly named "The Fat Man". The mission is based around the summer of 1950's, where rock n roll was becoming something big and hot rods were all the rage.

Mafia II will be available worldwide on 27 August on the PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360. We recently got some extended hands-on time with the game and you can read our impressions here.

Sweet. This looks truly worthy of putting off my purchase of Starcraft II. Being that I won't have proper Internet for the next few months, it's not like I'll miss out on multiplayer on that anyway. I'll be downloading and playing the demo the moment it hits
