The Weekend Steam - 3/4/10

PC News | You'd be an April fool to miss out.
Those looking for a last minute Easter gift on Steam will find that pickings are a little slim this weekend as Everquest and Railworks continue to populate the digital bargain bin. Thankfully, the Weekend Steam Deal makes up for the lack of quantity with one quality title going on sale until Monday in the form of recent hit title Borderlands, which will be available at 50% off for those itching for something new to wile away the long weekend.

For this weekend only, gamers will be able to pick up a copy of Borderlands for US $39.99 / AU $43.53 / GBP £14.99 or if you've got a couple of mates you want to bring along for the ride, you can all pitch in and purchase a Borderlands four pack for US $119.98 / AU $130.61 / GBP £44.98.

Part first-person shooter, part role-playing game, Borderlands is a package chock full of insane fun as players take on the mantle of one of four playable mercenaries on the desolate planet of Pandora where their objective is to find The Vault, a legendary stockpile of alien loot. Whether you choose to play it by yourself or co-operatively with three other mates, Borderlands is an absolute blast which PALGN recommended back when we had a look at the game late last year. Those interested can find the review here.

Hopefully it is actually this month. I want to buy The Orange Box, but not before I know when Steam is coming out.

According to the steam forum, the closed Beta is only just beginning, so I dont see it coming out in full force this month icon_sad.gif
