GDC 10: Sam & Max Season 3 announced

PC News | On PC, Mac and... wait, what? PS3?
The third season of the Sam and Max episodic adventure games has been officially revealed as Sam and Max: The Devil's Playhouse. The announcement came at the GDC conference, and the first episode is scheduled for release on 15 April.

This season will consist of five episodes - The Penal Zone, The Tomb of Sammun-Mak, They Stole Max's Brain!, Beyond the Alley of the Dolls and The City That Dares Not Sleep. The new season seems to sport more detailed graphics, a new dialogue system similar to Mass Effect (although likely a parody of it), and some strange new powers for Max. As the duo search for an 'otherworldly power for controlling matter and space,' Max gains the ability to teleport, shape shift, read minds and see into the future, making him much more than a bystander with occasional hints this time around.

The biggest surprise is that these episodes will not only be coming to the PC and Mac, but the PlayStation 3 as well. You can currently pre-order the game for PC and Mac formats on Telltale's website for US $35 and get a free Telltale episode of your choice, or pre-order on the PlayStation Network 'soon' in a first for the PS3. You can check out the game's first trailer below, and screenshots in the media panel.

Holy Friggin Awesome!

First Day Buy, no questions asked. All Sam and Max games from their debut to present have been absolutely amazing, I doubt that the flow will stop there.
