Team Fortress 2 wants you!

PC News | Want to design your own item for use in the game? Find out how.
While Valve has already embraced the Team Fortress 2 community's contributions through the addition of fan-made maps throughout the many updates that have appeared on the PC since its release, the developer is taking things one step further by inviting avid designers within the community the opportunity to submit custom items to Valve - with the real prospect of seeing them appear in-game.

"Pending approval, your item will get added to your backpack, and cycled into the random item drops in-game. Blow up stuff using a weapon you created! Kill an enemy, then let him know he died in a hat you designed! Weapons, hats, avatars -- designed by you, used by the entire TF2 community."

Those interested in taking up the challenge can head over to the contribute page for more information on just how to get your kit into Team Fortress 2.
