The Weekend Steam - 21/11/09

PC News | More bargains to fuel your gaming pleasure.
This weekend Steam owners will be able to pick up a copy of the first-person shooter Frontlines: Fuel of War for 75% off which will see gamers able to pick up the title for the cheap price of USD $3.74 / AUD $4.08 / GBP £3.74. When PALGN sat down with the title early last year, we thought that Frontlines: Fuel of War was a solid action shooter. You can take a peek at our review here.

Frontlines: Fuel of War is an open-world first-person shooter set in an alternate future where the world is suffering an energy crisis. Players will assume the role of an elite soldier in the Western Coalition Army as they embark on a campaign against the Red Star Alliance in an effort to control the last of the world's precious oil reserves.

Who can pass up a $3.74 game. I certainly can't.

Not the most healthy attitude, but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't my school of thought too.

I only played the single player of Frontline (which I suspect I wasn't meant to), the missions went from good to sucking. Not really worth the effort. Maybe it's better multiplayer, since that's what the game is all about.

I think the "that's not detestable" part of "game" goes without saying.

Maybe I just unfairly hate casual games.

Maybe it's karma for being wasteful with my money lol because the game runs poorly despite my system having way over the requirements. The joys of pc gaming. Some games play beautifully others poorly for no apparent reason.
