Dawn of War II to receive new co-op mode

PC News | Keep on surviving.
Relic Entertainment has announced that a co-operative survival mode, titled The Last Stand, will be coming to Dawn of War II in the next few months.

The Last Stand will allow up to three players to play as either an Ork Mekboy, Eldar Farseer or Space Marine Captain, where they will face off against wave after wave of enemies in an effort to unlock new armour and weapons for their character.

Also arriving alongside The Last Stand in this free update will be; two new multiplayer maps, as well as a host of bug squashes and balance tweaks to keep the game interesting.

This Dawn of War II update is aiming to hit the PC this October. You can check out The Last Stand in action with the first trailer and images from the free content appearing below.

If you don't have DoWII yet, get it as part of the current steam deal with the THQ collectors pack for US$74.99 which includes about 10 games icon_smile.gif

Nice, RTS coop should be a stress relief from online versus modes. Like the RPG vibe this gives off.

Looks like some fun co-op to be had. I finished the Primarch campaign with a mate, so this looks like a good excuse for some more =)

Sounds great, I love the pacing of DoW II and this would be a nice breath of fresh air from the usual MP matches.
