First look at WoW expansion Cataclysm

PC News | Details filter out of BlizzCon.
Rumors of a world-changing expansion have proved to be true, with Blizzard earlier confirming that World of Warcraft: Cataclysm is indeed in the works.

The expansion will see a massive redesign of existing areas of Azeroth as "players will witness the face of Azeroth being altered forever, as the corrupted Dragon Aspect Deathwing awakens from his subterranean slumber and erupts onto the surface, leaving ruin and destruction in his wake." Alongside the new look of the title, many classic areas will also feature a host of new quests to tackle.

As previously rumoured, Goblins will feature in the title as the new Horde race, while the werewolf-esque Worgen will be flying the flag for the Alliance.

High level players will have another incentive to pick up the title, with the game's level cap rising to 85.

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm is due for release in 2010. WoW fans can view the expansion's first trailer and screenshots below.
