Why did they have to make it daytime? icon_sad.gif

It's called variety.... I'd love to see the whole Dawn of the Dead movie played out, would be awesome. Just hopefully there is more to the sequel then what was the initial release of L4D.

I am personally glad they made it daytime. It's different. It's not another fog filled night of blasting zombies. It gives you a chance to survery the true extent of damage the apocolypse has done to society.
What do you suppose the zombies do during the day? Go to work? Unlikely, as far as I know they aren't even unionised. They are just as willing to chomp brains day or night.

I'm pretty sure sortius_nod is referring to the fact that the lack of night shading is not kind to the Source engine these days.

Nice!!! I hope they make it where those who have L4D and L4D2 can play through both sets of campaign with any choice of the now 8 characters to mix it up. But I am speaking from a steam PoV, not sure if they will be able to do this on both platforms, so it prob won't happen. I just hope they don't fragment the steam community between the two versions.

They've said that there will be changing weather, including rain so thick you can barely see (like the cornfield in BH)

I think a lot of the new mechanics in L4D2 are aimed around preventing corner camping melee spam. Or at least reducing its effectivness.
