Well the visuals look a lot better than the last. Hopefully they can work a way to do co op without a pixel on the horizon taking out your entire team. (Or maybe we weren't that good)

You weren't that good. :P

A few of my mates used to play the old OF and even designed our own missions quite regularly. Coop was probably the most fun as without a stack of players you couldn't really get enough contact to play a decent vs match.

My main gripes with the old one were the clipping issues and a bit of dodgy terrain. Other than that, I hope they preserve the feel of the old one - tactical battles played out against a backdrop of "new" cold war eastern Europe.

The thing that got me was that it (the older Op Flashpoint) tried to be a true simulation (less arcade than say BF2) by limitations, but this also made it unrealistic.

Having to crouch to fire a rocket was supposedly realistic, however, in life you could fire it in what ever position you want.

Little things like the bugged the hell out of me.

Its not made by Bohemia (look at Armed Assault for the 'true' sequel' to it. IMO, I've got dibs its gonna be like COD4 crossed with BF2.... well, here's to hoping anyway > <

Thanks... but probably true! icon_razz.gif The days of Quake 3 made everyone a cowboy which wasn't this game.

Looking foward to another hack away at this game. Then again, still got to have a go at ARMA2.
