No public beta for Battlefield 1943

PC News | Though trial version of title will be made available.

EA DICE producer Gordon Van Dyke has come out and stated that a trial version of Battlefield 1943 will be offered to players as compensation for the title not having a public beta.

In a Live Q&A with Eurogamer, Van Dyke exclaimed, "No beta, but we have a trial version that lets you confirm what you already thought - that this game is the best USD 15 I will ever spend!"

He wouldn't lay down a definitive target date for the title, though his PR cohort confirmed that the PC edition of the game will arrive in September - which leaves us to deduce that the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network versions of Battlefield 1943 will arrive sometime between now and September - as the console releases have been confirmed to precede the PC release of the title.

I wasn't thinking that, i was thinking they were soiling everything i loved from the franchise with this quick cash in.

well they did originally say June, so they may be having a few problems come up to work out, so hopefully its ready in the next few weeks.
