The Sniper's third unlockable will prove pretty hard to top in the comedy stakes, with Valve confirming that Jarate is more than an April Fools prank. For those of you that missed out on that gag, Jarate is essentially a jar of pee that the Sniper can throw, which Valve notes "when [Jarate is] splashed on enemies, they take 35% more damage for a period of time."
Those valve crazies also explained that Jarate has anumber of other uses such as being "able to short out Spies' cloaking devices" and "extinguish[ing] any fire effects" when it is splashed onto a teammate.
To celebrate the Sniper vs Spy update, Team Fortress 2 will have a free weekend beginning tomorrow, so if you haven't already played the game, get preloading!
